  2. Maybe including a class setup system similar to the CoD4 comp modswith the ability to create custom class when in game and a nade toggle hotkey to cycle between flashes and smoke when in between rounds with text on screen saying "flash selected" or "smoke selected", etc..

  3. - remove player bob when walking/running like in CoD4
    - maybe adding a "drop flag" command similar to the drop bomb s&d command could add to CTF's gameplay. ie. You are cornered on a flag run and want to "hide" the flag.
    - include timeout command

  4. i LOVE the drop flag idea.. that would really add a lot to the gametype

    my customize loadouts on the fly entry is what you were describing for the class setup system

    timeout for what? like if u get disconnect it would kick you after x amount of time?

  7. 1) Option to enable/disable antilag. Nobody noticed this until I mentioned it but the antilag in this game is far worse than COD2 and COD4. I've been watching killcams in pubs and have noticed that players with 3 times my ping are seeing me on their screens before I am. At its worse they are seeing me a full 2 seconds before I see them when I have 30 ping on a server hosted in my own city...Obviously this is completely unacceptable in an FPS game.

    2) More prominent notification of flags being taken. I can't count the amount of times we didn't even know that our own flag was taken. Seemed like it was far more noticeable in UO and COD2.

    3) Not that important but maybe change the colors of the flags. I miss the red and blue...

  8. trg: i have a basic players alive HUD but i agree.. all that info should be available when alive and dead

    carn: i totally agree with you on 1 and 2.. if there is a way to disable the antilag I'll get an option in there. If i recall in cod2/uo, wasnt there just some sound that would play when your flag was taken? Either way I'll make it much clearer when your flag is taken.

    Were the actual 3d models red and blue in game? Its been a long time since I played uo/cod2

  9. The flag models in both games were the team's country's flag. All the flags featured red as the primary color with strong blue or white as secondary colors which created good contrast against environment textures. In BO the Spetsnaz and NVA flags are red but SOG, Black Ops, Tropas, and Op40 are all black/dark green and blend in with most environment textures. Maybe it's just me though and I'll get used to it.

  10. A few more suggestions after playing the game some more:

    1)A warning or HUD text notification that DEVMAP is enabled in the server.

    2)Detection of illegal server side cvars.

    3)Enable/Disable Shellshock globally, without the use of a perk.

    4)Enable/Disable Toggle Prone and Enable/Disable Change Stance to stop the superman diving bug. I also think the prone animation is faster when using these 2 over the other 2 ways to bind prone.

    5)Ability to modify starting ammo count for all weapons in case Scavenger perk is disabled in the league ruleset. Eg. you can set every gun to have 500 rounds or 1000 rounds so they never run out of ammo.

    6)Enable/Disable Lethal and Tactical drops upon death. This is so people using Scavenger don't get more nades and flashes and only pick up the ammo.

    7)Ability to assign smokes and flashes to particular weapons or at least to a particular class (like the smoke to shotgun in COD2).

    8)Enable/Disable weapon drops on death for limited guns or classes (I assume you're already doing this?)

  12. Ideally, if the FAMAS is limited to 2 then they would get the smokes and the other 3 players would have Flash Bangs. But I guess it all depends on what the league wants to do.

    Since the AUG is interchangeable with the FAMAS, are the following scenarios possible to code within the weapon limitations? A team can select 2 FAMAS so is allowed 0 AUGs, A team can select 2 AUGs so is allowed 0 FAMAS, and a team can select 1 FAMAS and 1 AUG?

  13. Right now its at a per gun basis.. so you could limit it to 1 famas and 1 aug... however I could code up a special case for those 2 guns and group them together

    Also how it is now.. you can limit the team to 2 players with smokes regardless of their weapon choice... Is there a specific reason to make it so only those with the famas and aug would get the smoke?

    Every item in the game can be limited separately so we dont have to bind certain things like smoke to certain classes like we did in the past

  14. There is no specific reason to do it, it's just how I would do it if I was making the league ruleset. The FAMAS/AUG is the main offensive weapon and people generally seem to want to limit smoke nades, so it only makes sense to give it to the 2 FAMAS/AUG players. The Flash Bangs would be more useful to the weaker weapons.

  15. A few more suggestions:

    1) Ability to modify radius and duration of Smoke Grenades.

    2) Ability to modify duration of Sprint.

    3) All Perks/Attachments/Weapons unlocked for competition regardless of rank so people don't have to pub to unlock stuff.

    4) More slots to make custom classes and separation of pub classes and competitive classes.

    Keep up the great work. I honestly believe that this mod (and a good ruleset) will make people want to continue playing this game.

  16. 1 may be doable.. i'll have to look
    2 i can def do
    3/4 is planned once the tools are out.. i plan on creating a new menu for create a class.. and also have an option to use your existing loadouts

    hopefully the mod tools will let me store new data to the players profile so I can store off the classes made in game.. instead of having to create the loudouts each time u changed maps

  17. We were going over a map this week and I realized how confusing all the stupid 3 letter abbreviations of team names are and how difficult it is to distinguish sometimes. I think team names were much better setup in the WW2 games. Is it possible to change the names of the team on the selection screen and the scoreboard? IMO I think it would be a lot better:

    -Black Ops, Op 40, SOG all changed to AMERICAN
    -Tropas changed to CUBAN
    -NVA changed to VIETNAMESE
    -Spetsnaz changed to RUSSIAN

  20. Hello, searching for a "AWE4" mod to use on Black
    Ops, I found your site... With my team we use to play only on Sabotage without any icons on cod 4 & 6 ( it's too easy with the icons) we all bought Cod 7 but nearly never played with because no mods were available...
    I downloaded your mod but wasn't able to configure the pub.gsc or any user.gsc file to make those icons disappear in a private game...
